A message from DIAMOND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
We have very important information to share with you about the final installation of our Visitor Management System (VMS). Beginning on Wednesday, April 10, all school doors will be locked during the majority of the school day. New to us will be the locking of the front doors. When you arrive at school, after 9:30 a.m., look for the communication box located on the wall to the right of the doors. Please push the red button on the box. When you do this, you will be visible on the computer screens on both Ms. McCaffrey’s and Mrs. Hodgson’s desks. One of them will then unlock the door for you. Please proceed directly to the office to get your visitor’s badge. We will then have a record of all visitors to our school. We very much appreciate your cooperation with us as we implement the system. This is quite a change for our community. Please do not feel unwelcome, rather know that our students and staff are safer. The front doors will be unlocked at the beginning and end of the day and on very busy days like Halloween and Valentine’s. We will inform you of any changes. Again, starting on Wednesday, April 10, all school doors will be locked from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. every day.
